    Media Support

    core

To disable a specific media type for an X-Creator client, deactivate Show Media at X-Manager under Media. If disabled, thumbnails or placeholders are used for rendering the layer. Depending on the type, different extensions can be disabled as well.

    Asset Bundle

    Extension: assetbundle
Multi layer support: Media is shared between layers (changes to media are visible on all layers). Important to ensure, that the AssetBundle was built with the same Unity3D version. Define rendering resolution under AssetBundle settings.

    Rendering Width
    Resolution used to render AssetBundles

    Rendering Height
    Resolution used to render AssetBundles

    Audio

Extensions: wav, ogg, mp3, aif, aiff
Multi layer support: Every layer loads the media individually.

    Image

    Extensions: jpg, jpeg, png, gif
Multi layer support: Media is shared between layers.

Image Compression Enables compressing images on the X-Creator to a GPU-supported format (BC1 or BC3) for faster loading. Compression of newly available images happens when joining an Experience or when adding images to an Experience that is currently joined. This might affect the performance of the X-Creator for the duration of the compression process.

High Quality Compression Uses the BC7 compression format which results in better image quality but takes longer to compress and sligthly longer to load the images.

    Pdf

    Extension: pdf
Multi layer support: Every layer loads the media individually.

    NDI®

Multi layer support: Media is shared between layers (changes to media are visible on all layers). NDI® sources are detected during runtime in X-Creator and cannot be added in X-Manager.

    Color Format
Color format for receiving NDI®. RGB results in better quality and YUV in better performance

    Always use this Color Format
Uses this Color Format even if another X-Creator changes the setting for an NDI® Layer

    Bandwidth
Bandwidth setting for receiving NDI®. 'Low' is for receiving many and/or high-res streams on tablet control devices

    Always use this Bandwidth
Uses this Bandwidth even if another X-Creator changes the setting for an NDI® Layer

Preload Streams Results in streams being shown quicker on the Slide. With many available NDI® streams it can have negative impact on the (network) performance of the application because the streams are received all the time.

    Text

Multi layer support: Media is shared between layers (changes to media are visible on all layers and are saved to the X-Manager on slide save).
Add text media in X-Manager or X-Creator. Content can be changed and saved at X-Creator.

    Video

Container formats: mp4, mov, mkv, webm, avi, mxf, wmv, mpg, mpeg
Multi layer support: Media is shared between layers (changes to media are visible on all layers).
